Careful! Spoilers ahead! Stop reading if you don't want to know anything about post-X and Y content.
Pokemon X and Y have been out for several weeks now and many people have steam rolled through the game, beaten the elite four, caught the legendary Pokemon and are trying to catch some of the older generation Pokemon in friend safari's. However, is this all there is to do now? is there something to look forward to?
Well some people have managed to get a hold of some interesting information. 3 New Pokemon and a new Mega Evolution have been found. Why can't we access these things yet? Nobody really knowns. However, here is my guess as to what these new Pokemon are going to be bringing with them. These are only estimations so do not take what I say as fact below.
Pokemon X and Y will likely be seeing some updates in the form of DLC or possibly free downloads from the Eshop. If Gamefreak announce a price to get new Pokemon then I will probably end up buying it through my rage. If it's free then that's great! It's exactly what I could have hoped for. I don't want to have to spend more money to get more Pokemon after all.
But the big question here is: What does this mean for Pokemon? The series has already been very ambiguous over its life time by hiding things from the public until they find it for themselves or it's announced officially. What could they possibly be hatching up? If free DLC is the way the game is going to go then I can't say I'm surprised or even slightly disappointed. If these are Pokemon they wanted in the game but didn't have the time to put in then the game wouldn't have been released yet if they continued working on it. But then again, did X and Y feel incomplete to anybody? Only time will tell.
