Ever tried to make a video game?
I'm going to put this out there: Making a video game isn't easy. Especially when you want to make something competitive, fun and innovative. I have no real experience making a game myself and have a friend building the actual program. I design everything to go into this game including items, characters, map ideas etc. I thought it would be much easier than this. Turns out I was wrong.
The closest thing you could compare this game to is League of Legends with a wide array of twists and turns that make it feels like something entirely different. If you have ever played a Dota style game you can probably visualize how the items are set out. You buy one, upgrade it, combine it with others and get the best stats, I have made three item systems now because the first was a linear smear of rubbish. The second was linear in a better way but it still felt wrong.
Iv'e been building little games ever since I was a kid with nothing better to do with my time than play with lego, pencils and paper. I stuck little swords to the Lego soldiers I had and gave them all names, stat lines and quotes to say. Obviously this would all be roleplayed by myself leaning over the green carpet that was the 'open plains stage', preaching the lines I had rehearsed to my little brother that eagerly wanted to play it. Any toy at my disposal could be an enemy! Even Pikachu plushies, Gundam kits, keychains but most commonly: Bionicles.
I clearly have a lot of experience with game making right? It was much easier being a kid and making games based off of toys.
