The Kenway Pong Incident

If you have read my previous post regarding the incredibly hilarious AI for Guards and NPC's in Assassins Creed 3 then you can guess what this post is going to be about.

This happened around the same time as most of the other issues I had run into that I mentioned before. However this felt like it deserved its own spotlight. Allow me to tell you about the story of The Kenway Pong Incident

I had decided to stop playing the game for a moment and remain idle. Kenway stood in the middle of a busy street. The homeless, the poor and the not so poor walked around minding their own business. Then suddenly, I was pushed over by a guard. I had completely forgotten this could happen and at the time it frightened the life out of me. I didn't expect it. But this gave me an idea.

Standing directly in the Guards path, I wanted to see just how angry they would get. Would they fight me or will they leave me alone? The Officer in charge obviously disliked the idea as he was happy to push me over then tell one of his friends to push me too. That wasn't exactly kind of him so I stood in his path again. Obviously confused by my decision, he began to circle me until he couldn't move forward any further thanks to both a wall and a talking duo of homeless men he pushed over.

I doubted anything else would really come from this. All the guards do is get mad and push you over. I was about to leave when suddenly, the officer pushed me again. Crashing into another guard, he pushed me back. I couldn't stop myself and before I knew it, I was falling head first into the Officer. This, of all of the previous things I had been doing to annoy him, was what set him off. The Officer immediately pulled out his sword. The guards all aimed their muskets and in reaction I killed them all.
